Both two and all wheel drive dyno testing is available. We use one of the most advanced dynos available to the public. We believe there are only two of these in the United States.
This is basically standard Dyno testing. It provides horsepower and torque measurements. The results can be provided in SAE, DIN, or virtually any other automotive standard measurement.
Testing can be done throughout a desired speed range including gear shifts. For example: from the the low speed range of 3rd gear until maximum RPM in 4th. This is useful in two cases. First, automatic cars which will not allow full manual control of the transmission. Second, it's useful to determine optimal shift points for vehicle performance.
Testing can be done throughout a range of throttle positions at a constant engine RPM. We can also set this to run in timed steps i.e. 20 seconds at 3500 rpm, 20 seconds at 4000 and so on. This is normally a feature only used by tuners or for troubleshooting purposes. This type of testing is limited to certain types of vehicles, inquire.
Just what it says. Normally this is limited to highway speeds, but we can test it up to 186 mph for approved vehicles.
The dyno can determine your vehicle's top speed up to 186 mph. It can be set to increase the load on the rollers to simulate air resistance. Some vehicle information in required to perform this test and it's limited to approved vehicles.
The Dyno can simulate actual road conditions allowing us to emulate any govt. agency's testing conditions and drive cycle. Combined with our 5 gas analyzer we can gather extensive emissions data if desired.
The dyno incorporates a coast down feature that allows it to calculate flywheel horsepower and torque with a great deal of accuracy.
This one is confusing, but can be useful. If your engine has 400lb/ft. of Torque at the flywheel, it's going to be multiplied by the gear ratio. For example in a 1:1 transmission gear (typically 4th) with a 3:1 axle ratio actual torque at the wheels would be 1200 pounds. In some cases its desirable to know if you get more force on the whe

For example in a 1:1 transmission gear (typically 4th) with a 3:1 axle ratio actual torque at the wheels would be 1200 pounds. In some cases its desirable to know if you get more force on the wheels at 6000 rpm in fourth or 4000 rpm in third. We can provide the actual amount of rotational force on the wheel in the various gears.
We can provide ECU tuning via a number of options. We do all our tuning in house. We have tunes ready to go for many Italian vehicles as well as others. For vehicle specific information please inquire.
We can provide the EC Power Booster for turbocharged vehicles. This comes with an in car controller to add 1, 2 or 3 pounds of boost to your car, or it can be set to other levels if desired. This is available for most modern turbocharged cars.

The hour does not start until the first pull. From there it's one hour or eight pulls, whichever comes first. Typically cars need some cool down time between runs, eight runs in one hour is realistic.

A top speed run can be added to a set of dyno pulls for an additional charge. This requires a car with very good condition tires with the proper speed rating. It also needs to have a cooling system in excellent working order as there will not be a high amount of airflow through the radiator as compared with the real road. You will need to provide the vehicles frontal area and drag coefficient.

We can emulate any regulator's test and provide emissions data from a five gas analyzer. Understand that these will not be official results, but if you're working on a project you plan to submit a product to CARB for testing this will tell you if you're on the right track or not. If interested in this please inquire for further details.
Limitations: All dynos have some limitations. Torque converters with stall speeds above the point at which we start the pull are a no go. So if you have a converter with something really high like a 4000 rpm stall, we can not run it. We can not run tires that grow a lot with speed, like some drag slicks. Certain services are limited to 500 horsepower per axle. The absolute limit is 1000 horsepower per axle.
